The FMM-30 is a new member to the FibreOptica fiber multi-meter (FMM) family. The new design cuts the size to 1/3 and weight less than half of FMM-10/20.
It consolidates a power meter with 3 wavelengths of laser sources. It can automatically recognize the wavelength in use. It is perfect for testing PONs (Passive Optical Networks) with its built-in wavelength of 1310/1490/1550 nm commonly used in FTTx and complies with ITU-T G.983 and G.984 recommendation and IEEE 802.3ah standard.
Hence, the palm-size tool is an idea tool for FTTx installation, troubleshooting and maintenance. The large capacity of data storage, USB interface and PC software make it very convenient for field and laboratory testing.
